Erin Susanne Morse makes artwork to highlight the agricultural traditions of the community she came from and other biological scenarios where people interact with land. From Putnam, Illinois, she lives and works in Corvallis, Oregon.

Through drawing I aim to capture the rural past seen and heard during my childhood on a prairie farm in Illinois. At the same time, I imagine a future that gives due deference to rural people for the work they do feeding the world, one that includes them more in the global community with social interaction via broadband internet, homegrown culture-making, travel and use of science and technology for increased  health, ease, biodiversity and interdependence with all wildernesses.
